Aesthetic dentistry and ceramic veneers

Do you want a beautiful, natural-looking smile without compromise?

Ceramic veneers represent a modern and minimally invasive way to quickly and long-term improve the colour, shape and overall appearance of the front teeth. A veneer is a thin ceramic “shell” bonded to the front surface of the tooth. Ceramic material has very natural translucency and gloss, so the smile does not appear artificial but looks completely natural.

Who are ceramic veneers suitable for?

Ceramic veneers are an ideal solution if you are concerned about, for example:

  • darker or stained teeth, or teeth that do not respond well to whitening
  • minor misalignment, irregular tooth shape, or asymmetry
  • worn or “chipped” incisal edges
  • gaps between teeth (e.g. diastema)
  • old, unaesthetic fillings in the anterior region
  • the need to unify the shape and colour of teeth for a harmonious smile

Whether ceramic veneers are suitable for you will be determined during the initial consultation.

In some cases (for example untreated gingival inflammation, pronounced teeth grinding without protection, or unsuitable occlusal relationships), it is necessary to first address the underlying cause and only then plan the veneers.

Alternative: invisible braces (aligners)

If the main issue is the position of the teeth (crooked, rotated or crowded teeth), the most conservative approach is often to start with orthodontic treatment using invisible braces – so-called aligners. These are clear, removable trays that gradually move the teeth into the correct position.

The advantage is that the aesthetics of the teeth can be improved without changing their shape with veneers. In many cases, aligners can also be used as a preparation before veneers – for example when we want to achieve the ideal tooth position first and then refine the shape or colour. During your consultation, we will explain which option (veneers, aligners, or a combination of both) is the most suitable for your smile.

Main advantages of ceramic veneers

  • natural appearance thanks to the properties of ceramic (translucency, gloss)
  • long-term colour stability – they typically do not stain from coffee, tea, or smoking
  • high durability and long service life with proper care
  • in many cases, only minimal tooth preparation is required
  • the aesthetic result is visible immediately after veneer bonding

How does the treatment proceed step by step

1) Consultation and examination
2) Smile design
3) Tooth preparation

How long do veneers last and how to care for them

Ceramic veneers are highly durable, but proper care is essential for long-term longevity:

  • thorough home oral hygiene (toothbrush + interdental cleaning)
  • regular preventive check-ups and dental hygiene
  • if you grind your teeth, we may recommend a protective night guard
  • avoid habits such as nail biting, opening packages with your teeth, etc.

Exact recommendations always depend on your occlusion and individual conditions. During follow-up visits, we monitor the condition of the veneers and gums and address any excessive load in time.

Ceramic veneers vs. composite veneers

Ceramic veneers are a premium solution offering the highest level of aesthetics and long-term colour stability. The results are highly natural-looking and durable.

Composite veneers (direct veneers) can be a faster and more affordable option for minor corrections or as a temporary solution, but over time they may be more prone to staining and wear.

During your consultation, we will explain the differences and recommend the option that makes the most sense for your individual case.

Price of ceramic veneers and financing options

The price depends on the number of veneers, the extent of treatment, the material used, and the complexity of the case. The total cost typically starts from approximately CZK 30,000. We will prepare an exact quotation after the examination and treatment planning.

To make the treatment more accessible, we offer the possibility of payment in instalments as well as convenient financing options (instalment plan). We will be happy to explain everything and set it up according to your needs.
